Planned repairs are repairs that are not urgent, but are part of a very important planned programme of work.
Examples of planned repairs are:
- kitchen replacement
- boiler replacement
- bathroom replacement
- roof replacement
- regular decorating of the outside of shared areas
- external door or window replacement
- repairs to foundations and underpinning
- brickwork on external walls
- boundaries such as fences or walls
- hard surfaces such as concrete paving
We arrange for stock condition surveys of any development we are responsible for. The surveys look at the condition of the building, including the outside (the roof and windows and the brickwork) and decide:
- how many years before the work is necessary
- how much the work will cost at that time
Keeping our homes in good repair is a huge operation. We plan our programme of work several years ahead, taking into account which areas need redecoration or improvement the most and how we can use the money available in the most cost-effective way.
