What happens if the person is not an A2 resident?

If you are suffering with antisocial behaviour or nuisance from a non-A2 resident there are a number of agencies you can contact.

  • If you know the individual is a resident of a particular local authority or housing association you can contact them contact directly or you can contact us and we will forward on your complaint;
  • You can contact the 'Community Safety Team' at your local authority and make a complaint; and
  • You can contact the police, including your local police constable or PCSO.

Police forces will normally have a dedicated police constable for each area who deals with local issues such as antisocial behaviour. It is common for a Police Community Support Office (PCSO) to work along side the local PC in dealing with local issues. Details of your local PC can be found on the relevant police website for your area.

Some areas are lucky enough to benefit from having a local antisocial behaviour co-ordinator employed by the police. This officer has specialist knowledge about antisocial behaviour powers and is dedicated to tackling antisocial behaviour with other agencies. To find out if your local police have such an officer you can make enquiries at your local station or through the 'community safety team' in your local authority.

You can also contact your local council or police force.
