We would like to thank all of you who took the time to complete our recent perceptions survey. The survey has revealed some interesting results in terms of how we are viewed by our partners and stakeholders.
What we are doing well
Encouragingly, 70% of corporate partners agree that we are a financially strong business, 65% agree that we are a leader in the affordable housing sector and 60% agree that the organisation strives for continuous improvement. The survey also shows 68% agreed that we provide a wide choice, and homes which are of a high quality. 64% agree that A2 staff are responsive to their needs and enquiries. Only 4 partners out of a total of 64 surveyed agree that we miss out on development opportunities.
Areas for improvement
Less encouragingly, 45% of respondents said they have not visited the website, and 32% have never been to an A2 event. This indicates that our partners may not be aware of our events and facilities - something which we will be working hard to address over the coming weeks and months. 23.8% (a total of 15 partners) neither agreed or disagreed with the statement "I have a clear understanding of A2's objectives". This indicates that we may need to communicate these further with our partners, highlighting past successes. In terms of raising awareness about our performance, we will be looking at including a performance section in our newsletter. The website will also have a section on how we are performing.
56% showed that they neither agreed nor disagreed as to whether A2 enjoys a high degree of customer satisfaction amongst those it provides home for. The survey showed that 32% of partners neither agree or disagree that we provide highly customer focused service. Again, this shows that as an organisation we need to communicate more with our corporate partners, and in particular, highlight our customer satisfaction results.
Conclusions
Overall, some of the key conclusions that we have drawn is that, while we are happy that we are delighted to be seen as a commercially orientated organisation, we are also keen to highlight our commitment to our residents, and provision of service to them. To this end, we hope to work more closely with other RSLs and local authorities, to promote our desire to be a caring organisation who put residents first. Following on from this, we shall be promoting our services to residents and what we are doing to improve them.
